Our Skiset shop, Au Chalet du Guide, enjoys a prime location in the heart of Montgenèvre, a short walk from the MMV (Hameau des Airelles) and CGH (Chalet des Dolines) partner residences, as well as the Anova and Chalet Blanc hotels, Chaberton, Bois de Suffin and more.
We are qualified ski instructors, which brings knowledge, expertise and sound judgement to everything we do.
You also have direct access to the Obélisque car park (open-air or covered), to the pistes and to the lifts: the Tremplin chairlift, the Obélisque drag lift and, very soon, the brand-new Chalvet gondola, due to open for winter 2026-2027.
In the heart of Montgenèvre and the Voie Lactée ski area
Set in the Obélisque residential district of Montgenèvre, a short walk from our partner accommodation providers, the MMV residence (Hameau des Airelles) and CGH Résidences (Chalet des Dolines), our shop puts you at the foot of the new Chalvet sector. Montgenèvre is the gateway to the Voie Lactée ski area, one of the largest French-Italian ski areas in the world (5th): over 400 km of pistes linking France and Italy, reached directly from the resort. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier, you will find terrain to suit every level, on both the French and the Italian side.
Around our shop, the area is full of resort residences and accommodation: our partners MMV and CGH Résidences, as well as the Anova and Chalet Blanc hotels, the Chaberton, Janus and Ski d'Or chalets and the Bois de Suffin, all put you a few steps from our ski hire service in Montgenèvre. You collect your skis and boots on the spot, then head for the pistes on the nearby lifts - the Tremplin chairlift and the Obélisque drag lift - and, from winter 2026-2027, the brand-new Chalvet and Fournéous gondolas, just above us. A free, regular shuttle bus can drop you off or pick you up in the resort centre, with stops right outside the shop.
As state-qualified ski instructors, we know every sector of the ski area and can point you towards the kit best suited to your plans in the resort.
